Clear garbage bags have been required in the Township of Carling since 2008. Starting July 15, 2021 the use of clear bags will be fully enforced at the Township’s waste sites. This regulation was passed by the Township of Carling Council via By-law 2008-05 and was a Stewardship Ontario initiative.
From Friday July 16th – Sunday July 19th while supplies last, the Township will be exchanging black bags for clear ones. We will give you one clear bag in exchange for two black bags. Due to limited supply we will only be giving a maximum of 5 clear bags per household. This exchange program will be available at both of our waste sites.
Have your flares expired? If your flares have a manufacture date of 2017 or earlier, they have or will expire this year. To help boaters dispose of expired flares in a safe and environmentally responsible manner CPS-ECP and selected CIL Dealers are hosting Safety Equipment Education and Flare Disposal Day.
Saturday August 7, 2021-Sound Boat Works, 73 Emily Street, Parry Sound
Please note that flares are only accepted directly from the recreational boating public. They will not be accepted from any company, organizations, service clubs or municipalities.
