Accessibility Plans & Policies

The Township of Carling is committed to providing quality goods, services and facilities that are accessible to all persons we serve in a manner that respects the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities. We are committed to meeting the needs of persons with disabilities in a timely manner and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility in customer service, information and communication, employment and the built environment. We are committed to meeting the requirements of the applicable legislation and Human Rights Code.

Our Accessibility Plan identifies, removes and prevents barriers faced by people with disabilities.

Our Accessibility Policy confirms the Townships commitment to achieve accessibility in the provisions of goods and services, consistent with the principles of dignity, independence, integration and equality of opportunities as set out in the Accessibility with Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 .

Currently there are two accessibility laws in Ontario: The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Ontarians with Disability Act, 2001 (ODA). The AODA applies to all public and private sector organization in Ontario.

Contact our Clerks Office below if you have any additional questions or concerns.
