COVID-19 Updates

The West Parry Sound Area Municipalities are working together to ensure proper communication is made with our community members and that community partners are engaged. We are working collaboratively to actively monitor the situation as it evolves and to ensure business continuity while following directions from the Ministry of Health and the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit.

Please visit the Town of Parry Sound’s website for information and updates.

COVID-19 Self Assessment: If you think you have coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has it, use this self-assessment to help determine how to seek further care.

The Canadian Government has set up an economic response plan to help those impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. Please review to information in the link below for all details.

Carling Wi-fi Update

The Township of Carling has created a Wifi hotspot for Carling residents to access from the parking lot of the Carling Community Centre. The intention of setting up this hotspot is to assist Carling residents in accessing school or work related materials. Unfortunately, since we are on a point to point network the signal is weak and will most likely be slow and at times unreliable.

We are working with an internet provider to create a more reliable hotspot, however this is still a month or two away.  This is the best option that we have for now and we will continue to work towards creating a better system.
